The Testing Process
I aim to make the evaluation experience as smooth and reassuring as possible for your family. Understanding each step helps ensure you feel prepared and supported throughout the journey.
Step 01
Morning Evaluation Sessions
In-person testing is conducted over two separate mornings, lasting approximately 2.5 hours each. Dr. Thorpe schedules these sessions early in the day when children’s minds are most well-rested, ensuring the most reliable and accurate results.
Step 02
Holistic Data Collection
A child's world extends beyond the office. We collect detailed information from parents and teachers—the people who know the child best—to gain a comprehensive understanding of their performance and behavior across environments.
Step 03
Scoring & Documentation
Once in-person testing is finished, Dr. Thorpe carefully completes the scoring and analysis. A formal, detailed written report is drafted to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for your child’s educational path.
Step 04
Feedback & Strategy
Finally, we schedule a feedback session to review the results together. This conversation ensures that parents fully understand the findings and can begin implementing the recommended strategies to support their child’s growth.
If you’re wondering whether testing is right for your child, I'm here to talk.
